Boston, MA, March 25, 2021 – BackBay Communications, a leading integrated financial services public relations, content development, and digital marketing firm, will again be speaking at and sponsoring Private Equity International’s Investor Relations, Marketing & Communications Forum 2021. As part of the virtual event, being held April 13-14, 2021, BackBay’s CEO and Founder, Bill Haynes, and Senior Vice President and Head of Content Development, Ken MacFadyen, will participate in panel discussions addressing best practices in private equity marketing, communications and investor relations.
Mr. Haynes will be moderating the panel “Marketing & Communications Strategies for Success.” The panel will take place April 14 at 9:55 am EST.
Joining Mr. Haynes on the panel are Kristy DelMuto, Vice President of Strategic Marketing, LLR Partners; Christine Anderson, Senior Managing Director and Global Head of External Relations, Blackstone; and Ryan Parker, Director of Marketing, Trivest Partners.
“We are pleased to again participate in PEI’s IR, Marketing & Communications Forum,” said Mr. Haynes. “Year after year this is a valuable, focused event centered on the most important and emerging issues for private equity IR and marketing executives. We look forward to seeing many of our clients and friends at the event and moderating meaningful discussions on what it takes to be successful in private equity marketing and communications in 2021.”
On the second day of the conference, Mr. MacFadyen will be speaking on the panel “ESG Best Practices for the In-House GP.” The panel will take place April 14 at 12:50pm EST.
In addition to Mr. MacFadyen, other participants on the panel include Ruth Lane, Head of Investor Relations-ESG Officer, ATL Partners; Helee Lev, Chief Revenue Office and Board Member, Goby; and John Thompson, Global Communications Director, Actis.
“As limited partners continue to focus on ESG, GPs have been rethinking the role of sustainability in their investment strategy and how they report non-financial metrics to key stakeholders,” said Mr. MacFadyen. “This trend is not going anywhere and will undoubtedly become a core part of investor relations for the foreseeable future. I look forward to hearing from the panelists on how they are increasing their ESG communications and forging best practices.”
In its 16th year, PEI’s Forum brings together investor relations, marketing and communications professionals in private equity to share best practices in LP relations, brand creation and development, and marketing strategies. For more information on the event, visit the website here.
