As BackBay’s Director of HR and Administration, JJ is responsible for human resources, IT, and office operations. She also assists with marketing and other activities to help make BackBay run effectively. JJ is an experienced and resourceful multi-tasker with a warm, welcoming demeanor. She prides herself on going above and beyond in service to her colleagues and leaders by anticipating needs, offering solutions, and responding enthusiastically, efficiently, and effectively to every task and challenge for the benefit of the team.

Prior to joining BackBay Communications, JJ served Rural Health IT Corporation over the course of nine years in various roles, most recently as Director of Business Operations supporting the healthcare IT start-up with administrative, operational, human resources, and IT management needs. Honing her written communication skills, she updated content on the company website, assisted with federal grant applications, and provided content for non-profit healthcare funding campaigns in support of medically underserved rural communities. JJ’s professional experience also includes six years as Director of Human Resources and Director of Recruitment at Internal Security Associates, LLC., a private-sector security firm, as well as serving the team at Skyhook, Inc., a leader in location services technology, for a period of four years as Office and Human Resources Manager.

JJ recently applied her passion for style and design into her online resale shop for sustainable vintage fashions and décor. Her love of hospitality and bringing people together is evidenced by her affinity for event planning. Whether planning a team-building or memorable social event for her colleagues or a small, informal dinner for friends at the South Shore home she shares with her husband and two teenage sons, JJ treasures the time she spends in the cherished company of colleagues, family, and friends.
