The Economist Events Engages BackBay Communications as PR Agency for Impact Investing Conference in London
London, UK, June 1, 2017 - The Economist Events has selected integrated marketing and communications firm, BackBay Communications, as its PR agency for its upcoming Impact Investing conference, being held at Glaziers Hall in London on 15 June 2017.
The one-day conference will bring together more than 200 leading financiers, institutional investors, policymakers, academics, impact investors and philanthropies, to assess the main obstacles and opportunities presented by impact investing and examine how it could alter the course of trillions of pounds of investment in the years to come. The event will cover topics such as demand drivers, useful measurement, gender and impact investing, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Terms of the engagement include raising awareness of the event and its speakers with key target media in the impact investing, Social Responsible Investing (SRI) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investment communities, and includes pre-event digital communications, including a Q&A website available at www.economistimpactinvesting.com, as well as social media and media relations support at the event. BackBay also supports The Economist Group’s Finance Disrupted event series, which take place in the U.S. and London.
“Impact investing is a concept we’ve really seen emerge over the last few years and is thoroughly deserving of a forum for discussion about its future,” said BackBay Communications President and CEO Bill Haynes. “As with the New York event, The Economist has gathered yet another impressive list of speakers that will no doubt offer valuable insight into the world of impact investing and its significance in the U.K. as well as the greater investing universe.”
“The Economist Events is proud to be working with BackBay Communications as our PR partner for our London conference on June 15,” said Hetal Patel, Marketing Executive for Economist Events. “We are confident in the firm’s continued partnership in supporting the Impact Investing conference series."
